Even More Memory Joggers From William Davidson

Some early photos of F-105s and B-66s before they wore camouflage paint.  These also are from 1965.

An F-105 "cart" or cartridge start.  These allowed the enigine to be spun up through the use of a black powder cartridge rather than using a standard power cart.  Smokey...

Here we have a shiny B-66 with no camo paint.  It appears there are concrete forms on the ramp, perhaps transitioning from the round parking pads built by the Japanese in WW 2

Another F-105 and one of the early hootch-style buildings near the flightline.  The rain shutters are up for a little "air conditioning"

F-105 Tail number 24266 in need of a little work.  This is just one of many examples of the battle damage they would fly back with to Takhli.
