Goods in the "Thai BX". This was the one place on base where we could buy locally produced articles. The round yellow objects hanging on the wall are used in a Thai game similar to soccer. |

An early shot of the Base Theater. It is difficult to see in this photo, but the sides could be opened as shutters when it was too hot. Most of the time. An bugs just loved the intense light being thrown on the screen. So much so that a cloud of them would make interesting patterns in the movie as they buzzed back and forth. If you were smart, you held your popcorn up to see if it had antenna. |
